I have been wanting to start a blog for ages. I have finally figured out how to add this blog to my WIX website. Which, I am loving for its ease of use and flashy features.
So, where to start?
I had my 'Open House' back in January. That was 7 months ago. I have had a LOT of students and groups use my space as I intended it to be. I have learned a TON!!! Like, Literally, a TON! I have spent so many hours 'figuring out' my business. It has been such a rewarding experience! I feel like I have DONE THE WORK to get me where I am today...and yet, still a long way to go, which is a good thing.
Before we broke ground for the Art Barn, I created a Vision Board - in a book format. I collected and glued everything I wanted to have in the studio.
I can look in that book now and see almost everything I wanted ... all except the long arm quilting machine, which I decided I don't want after all. I got a JUKI machine instead and I love it. Maybe one day I will be ready for the quilting machine, but for now, not so much.
Speaking of quilting, I have been doing a LOT! I love it! I have been working on finishing up a few projects of my own and have done quite a few for customers.
I have also been posting a few YOUTUBE videos on my channel, Super Beth. I have almost 300 subscribers now! I know that isn't a lot, but it's kind of cool to think of 300 people watching my videos that I post (occasionally) - they are random and at times I must admit, a bit ridiculous. My plan isn't to be the next Jenna Marbles, but to one day offer on-line classes that students can purchase and view in the comfort of their own create space. Goals are good.
I am feeling a time crunch at the moment, I have to run a few errands and finish up the laundry in the house. I am challenging myself to post/blog at least once a week -- to START.
Week #1. Great Success!
Beth
