I am recovering from the Fall Fair here in Creston. The 98th year. A few people complained about the lack of participation and attendance thru the area where vendors had booths - like us, with our awesome pet food - Riplee's Ranch and, of course, The Art Barn.
I had nothing but amazing responses from everyone. We even had people come back the second day to buy food because their pet 'woofed' down the samples we gave them.
I don't think I could have done it by myself if it were busier. Everyone loves to talk about their BFF's. I'd say the experience was a 7.2 out of ten, but only because my feet hurt. Julie said I would have fun, she was right.
Ok, so, enough about the Fall Fair...besides the fact that I am going to enter as many things in the fall fair as I can NEXT YEAR! just you wait and see!!!

My Mom gave me all of her fabric the other day. I am going thru it, sorting some pieces by colour on the chairs, lots of great landscape fabrics!! A few solids, some black and white and of course, one of my favourites, the African Fabrics...LOVE THEM!!! I'm working on making kits with the African fabrics. They should be awesome.
I've been scouring Pinterest for ideas to store my fabrics once they are sorted by colour. It's actually been my dream for as long as I can remember to have a whole wall of shelves full of fabrics sorted by the colour wheel.
It wil come...
In the meantime, I'm feeling melancholy about the fact that my mom can't sew anymore. It was her thing for over 20 years, all day, every day.
that is all i am going to say about that ...

I sorted thru the bulk of the first load ...
